"Rick and his team did an excellent job replacing and remodeling my house’s interior fireplace. My neighbor had recommended Sunset Hearth & Home as they did a fireplace remodel for him around four years ago. As my neighbor informed me, Sunset Hearth set up a plastic parameter around the fireplace work zone for containment. They also took careful measures to protect my wood floors. They did a great job with the demo and removal of old fireplace gas unit. I asked that they preserve the unit as best as possible since I planned on either giving it to my other neighbor or reselling it. The new gas fireplace and mantel was installed exactly as expected. They then installed the new rock facing material and hearth extremely well, which required an artistic touch as the material was various color shades and sizes. Due to this precision work, they ended up needing some extra time and worked through the weekend to stary on the scheduled completion. After project completion, they cleaned up the construction zone very well in that I couldn’t tell they were there (other than the obvious spectacular new fireplace area). Regarding the gas fireplace, we chose Mendota as they were the obvious best gas fireplace for heat, as well as aesthetically top notch. Check out the Internet reviews on interior gas fireplaces, and I’m confident you will find Mendota has the highest ratings. They are extremely efficient and produce heat similar to a wood stove. I grew up in the Midwest and my parent’s home had a wood stove, which we fed with hardwood. The heat produced from my new Mendota gas fireplace is very similar to that hardwood wood stove heat. Overall, Rick and his team are very professional, friendly, and competent; I highly recommend their services!"
